9 areas

Basic Algebras

  • Missing error checks have been added to functions for basic algebras which compute automorphisms or test isomorphism (example input reported by Bernhard Boehmler).

Commutative Algebra

  • A crash in Groebner basis computation for a certain kind of module defined over a multivariate polynomial ring has been fixed.

Function Fields

  • A crash in MaximalOrder for algebraic function fields defined over multivariate function fields has been fixed. Reported by Mike Zieve.
  • The infinite places of degrees greater than the relative degree of a function field are now returned by Places when the degree argument is given as a second argument. Reported by Maarten Derickx.

Galois Groups

  • Consistent setup has been ensured even for linear polynomials. Reported by Shiva Chidambaram.

Integer Ring

  • Hangs in MPQS have been fixed for very small inputs or for when the input has small non-squarefree factors.
  • A crash in multiplication of very large integers has been fixed. Reported by N. Katz.

Lattices

  • A bug in AdjacencyMatrix has been fixed.
  • The Dual of an indefinite lattice can now be computed.

Polynomial Rings

  • A hang in the Roots function when refining real roots of a certain integral polynomial has been fixed. Reported by Drew Sutherland.
  • A hang in factorization of a certain type of integral univariate polynomial has been fixed. Reported by Drew Sutherland.

Representation Theory

Sparse Matrices

  • A crash in sparse matrix elimination for very large sparse matrices defined over the integer ring (Standard version only) has been fixed. Reported by Daniel Bassett.
