Patch release for Magma V2.29-4. Updated areas: Algebraic Number Fields, Commutative Algebra, Hyperelliptic Curves, Polynomial Rings, Quaternion Algebras and 2 more.
Algebraic Number Fields¶
- A crash when applying an isomorphism of number fields has been fixed. Reported by Sachi Hashimoto.
Commutative Algebra¶
- An incorrect result in
PrimaryDecompositionfor multivariate ideals in very small characteristic has been fixed. Reported by Yongyuan Huang. - A hang in the La Scala free resolution algorithm applied to a certain large graded module has been fixed. Reported by George Kirkup.
Hyperelliptic Curves¶
- The
IsIsomorphicfunction has been fixed to correctly handle degenerate cases of hyperelliptic curves (genus 0 and genus 1). Reported by Sachi Hashimoto.
Polynomial Rings¶
- An error has been fixed which would cause the incorrect decoding of the Magma-level printing for
B.1whereBis a boolean polynomial ring with between 5 and 32 variables (inclusive).
Quaternion Algebras¶
- The functions
IsIsomorphicandIsMatrixRingare now supported for quaternion algebras defined over finite fields.
Rational Curves and Conics¶
- An
IsIsomorphicfunction has been added to check whether two conic curves are isomorphic, and to return the corresponding isomorphism.
Strings¶
- Grammar has been fixed for error messages when a string does not represent a number in a given base. Reported by David Roe.
