Magma is developed and maintained by the Computational Algebra Group at the University of Sydney. Its Members and Former Members have worked across the entire code base. Organisations and packages

Contributions credited to a group or a software package rather than to an individual.

  • Coding Theory Code for permutation decoding of linear codes over Fq was contributed by the CCSG group (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) in 2016.
  • Global Fields A database of number fields having degrees 2 through 9 was included in Magma from V2.19 (2013) onwards. The database was constructed by the Pari (Bordeaux) and KANT (Berlin) groups.
  • Basic Rings Some portions of the GNU GMP multiprecision integer library are used for integer multiplication.
