Algebraic Function Fields

  • Genus of algebraic function fields using the Montes algorithm has been fixed. Reported by Anouk Eggink.

Algebraic Number Fields

  • A crash in ClassGroup when linear extensions are involved has been fixed. Reported by Lewis Combes.
  • A signature Evaluate(RngIntElt, PlcNumElt) has been added back in. Reported by Shiva Chidambaram.
  • A bug where in IsInvertible for some non-unit elements of quotients of orders by primes has been been fixed.

Associative Algebras

  • A bug in ElementsOfNorm for an ideal in an associative algebra, failing when there are no elements of the given norm, has been fixed. Reported by Nuno Freitas.

Commutative Algebra

  • A crash in Hom for modules defined over affine algebras and polynomial rings has been fixed. Reported by David Benson.
  • New procedure SetFaugereModular (with corresponding function GetFaugereModular) to the allow modular Faugere F4 algorithm to be forced off (when set to false).

Matrix Groups

  • Finiteness testing for matrix groups defined over orders of number fields is now supported correctly. Reported by Ariel Pacetti.

Modular Forms

  • A bug in printing Newforms which was identifying conjugate forms, has been fixed. Reported by Sachi Hashimoto.

Modular Symbols

  • A bug in qExpansionBasis for spaces of modular symbols created by Atkin-Lehner decomposition has been fixed. Reported by Maarten Derickx.

Multivariate Polynomial Rings

  • A crash in very high degree polynomial multiplication over finite fields of characteristic 2 (coming out of bivariate polynomial factorization) has been fixed.
  • Magma-level printing for multivariate polynomial rings is now supported.

Permutation Groups

  • A bug in AutomorphismGroup applied to matrices with constant entries has been fixed. Reported by Markus Grassl.

Sequences

  • Magma-level printing of arithmetic progression sequences has been fixed.
  • Sequences in Pascal triangle form now have proper Magma-level printing.
  • The obsolete Curly print level has been removed.
