Elliptic Curves

  • Some problems with DescentInformation have been fixed. Reported by M. Voznyy.
  • A bug has been fixed that could cause rank calculations to fail with an error message about there being no valid local points on a quadric intersection. Reported by M. Derickx.

Groups

  • A crash in AutomorphismGroup with characteristic subgroups passed has been fixed. Reported by J. Herr.

Hyperelliptic Curves

  • A crash in TorsionSubgroup for genus 2 curves has been fixed. Reported by A. Sutherland and fixed by S. Muller.
  • The printing of hyperelliptic curves has been improved in the case that the coefficient of the y-term is negative. Issue reported by E. Costa.

Lattices

  • An obscure case in the LLL algorithm where an unstable floating-point algorithm did not reset properly has been fixed. Reported by E. Costa.

Matrices

  • A crash in Submatrix when the given sequence of row numbers has repetitions has been fixed. Reported by M. Reid.

Orders

  • A crash when computing cyclotomic fields with extremely high orders has been fixed. Reported by S. Chidambaram.

System

  • SubstituteString now checks that the search string is not empty, and raises an error if so. Reported by M. Grassl.
