Magma V2.24-6 Patch Notes
Patch release for Magma V2.24-6. Updated areas: Arithmetic Geometry, Groebner Bases, Groups, Integer Ring, Lattices and 2 more.
Arithmetic Geometry¶
- A bug in
RichelotIsogeniesover non-prime finite fields has been fixed. Reported, with provided fix, by Y. Bo Ti and N. Bruin.
Groebner Bases¶
- A blowup in time/memory for Groebner basis computation in the case of sparse zero-dimensional ideals of high degree has been fixed. Reported by M. Zieve.
Groups¶
- A crash in the
StandardCopyintrinsic (group names 2A10 and 2A11) has been fixed. Bug reported by Stephen Humphries. - A bug where
IrreducibleModulesapplied to a matrix group returned G-modules with G a permutation group has been fixed. Bug reported by Derek Holt.
Integer Ring¶
- The universe of the sequence returned by
Partitionshas been changed to be consistent with other sequences of sequences. Reported by M. Zieve.
Lattices¶
- A possible usage of uninitialized memory in
BKZwas removed.
Linear Codes¶
- A bug in the
AutomorphismGroupandIsEquivalentfunctions for binary codes has been fixed. This bug may have caused equivalences and automorphisms to be not found.
Matrices¶
- Multiplication for small matrices over the rational field has been sped up. Issue reported by S. Elsenhans.
- The computation of
CharacteristicPolynomialover reals/complexes now goes viaNumericalEigenvalues. - A check has been added for
TensorProductwhen the result matrix would be too large.
