Patch release for Magma V2.17-2. Updated areas: Arithmetic Fields, Coding Theory, Elliptic Curves, Finitely Presented Algebras, Lie Theory and 2 more.
Arithmetic Fields¶
- Computing maximal orders of Kummer extensions at critical primes has been improved.
Coding Theory¶
- The intrinsic
EvenWeightSubcodehas been added. Suggested by A. Gulliver, provided by M. Grassl.
Elliptic Curves¶
- Fixed a crash when returning the generators of an elliptic curve defined over a finite field.
Finitely Presented Algebras¶
- A check has been added for
FreeAlgebraso the number of variables is limited to 256. Bug reported by E. Rains.
Lie Theory¶
- A crash in
LieAlgebragiven a finitely presented Lie algebra has been fixed. - A bug in
DirectSumfor toral root data, that caused a bug in ReductiveType for abelian Lie algebras, has been fixed. Reported by R. Zeier.
Matrix Groups¶
- A new optional parameter
ExtDegreehas been added for intrinsicCongruenceImage. If the matrix group G is defined over a (rational) function field of positive characteristic, the congruence image will be defined over extension of the coefficient field of (at least) this degree.
Sparse Matrices¶
- A crash involving some kinds of sparse matrices has been fixed. Also, the functions
TensorProduct,Support,DiagonalSparseMatrix,ScalarSparseMatrix,IdentitySparseMatrixfor sparse matrices have been added. Reported by R. Zeier.
