Coding Theory

Groups

  • PermutationRepresentation applied to automorphism group of a matrix group now works. Bug reported by Kasper Andersen.
  • Bugs when the OrderEqual parameter of Subgroups is set to a negative integer have been fixed. Bug reported by Kasper Andersen.

Matrix Algebras

  • The incorrect removal of scalar matrices in the creation of ideals of matrix algebras has been fixed. Reported by W. de Graaf.

Number Fields

  • A bug causing memory corruption in a possible wide range of applications around the maximal order computation has been fixed. Bug reported by Melanie Wood.
  • A bug concerning the computation of maximal orders of suborders of an equation order has been fixed. This bug would in certain situations wrongly claim the starting order to be maximal.
  • The computation of differents of (ideals of) non-maximal orders has been prohibited as the current algorithm cannot handle this case. A user error is now returned instead of a wrong result for absolute orders and an internal error for relative ones.
  • A problem with the decomposition of primes in non-maximal relative extensions has been fixed, in certain cases, the code would trigger internal errors.
  • A problem in the computation of the index of two orders has been fixed. Without the fix in certain situations, Magma would wither trigger an internal error or state that the two orders are unrelated. Bug reported by Melanie Wood.

Polynomial Rings

  • Problems with multiplication of high-degree integral polynomials with signed coefficients have been removed. Reported by William Hart.

Representation Theory

  • A crash in IrreducibleModules over finite fields has been fixed. Reported by T. Dokchitser.
