Groups

  • Slow times when applying FPGroup to a PC-group have been improved. Problem reported by Mark Stather and Derek Holt.

Matrices

Rings and Fields

  • A bug in the printing of precision 1 p-adic field elements has been fixed.
  • A bug in IsCoercible into a p-adic ring has been fixed. This caused IsCoercible to generate errors rather than to return false.
  • A bug in IsSquare and GCD for polynomials over function fields has been fixed (reported by John Cremona).
  • The sub constructor for finite fields now allows more than one generator.

System

  • A problem with the password file system with some MAC addresses has been fixed.
